I know 90% of the gaming community holds Chrono Trigger up on a pedestal of amazing RPG goodness, but I personally played it through on an emulator and wasn't incredibly impressed. Personally, I've never been a turn-based fighting game fan (I don't really care for Final Fantasy that much (DONT KILL ME!!!)), even though I loved Tales of Phantasia, for some reason.
In all fairness, Chrono Trigger had a mediocre story, terrible writing (even for the time) and not-that-intense action. |

CT was nice for its time, but it's 2008 now. If this is another straight port without a facelift (I'm a sucker for the FF3 and 4 overhauls) then I'll pass. I've already seen it on super nintendo... then on playstation.

Anyway, I'm bringing this back now that it's out. There are a lot of things I'm disappointed with - my biggest example is that Frog no longer adds -eth to his words. That was my favorite part about him. Then there's MAJOR text changes. Renaming of skills and techs. Calling Magus the Fiendlord everywhere. Also, they're not Mystics anymore, they're Fiends. I'm not very far yet since I picked it up over the weekend (meeting Ayla for the first time), but it just doesn't feel right to me.
